Beautiful Heart Sugar Cookie

I love this technique.

It looks challenging but the secret is using a toothpick.

You can use a variety of colors for the lines or even just use one color – which I have done before and it turns out beautiful.

What you need:

1. Sugar cookies – I bake them 1/4 inch thick
2. Royal icing recipe (see below)
3. toothpicks
4. Food gel colors ( I used pink and red for the hearts)
