Do you love coffee and chocolate? This cake has it all – espresso, chocolate, fudge, cookies and cake!
Chocolate Fudge Cake
Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix (follow directions on package)
and add 1 cup sour cream to the mix
Chocolate Hazelnut Buttercream (see recipe below)
Fudge wafer cookies
Espresso dark chocolate beans
Cocoa Baton rolled wafter cookies
Disposable decorating bag or pastry bag
Chocolate Hazelnut Buttercream Frosting:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter (salted, or unsalted)
1 cup Crisco shortening
1/4 teaspoon salt (if using unsalted butter)
4 – 6 cups powdered sugar
1/2 Cup unsweeted cocoa powder
3/4 Cup Nutella spread
* In the bowl of an electric mixer, mix softened butter and crisco together.
* Add salt (if needed).
*In a small bowl, mix the cocoa and nutella together to create a paste. Add this to the butter & crisco.
* One cup at time, add 2-3 cups of powdered sugar, beating after each addition.until the consistency you want is reached. If you want to pipe the frosting on cupcakes, the frosting should be nice and thick. Continue to beat another minute or so. The frosting should now be smooth and fluffy.
