How to Make:
- 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 Cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup whipping heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Double recipe if you want more caramel. This recipe make about 1 cup.
How to Make:
- Melt 5 Tablespoons butter on low heat.
- Add brown sugar and stir.
- Pour in heavy cream while stirring.
- Let slowly build to a boil while constantly stirring.
- If you have a candy thermometer, heat till 350 F. Or wait till bubbly and thicker liquid. It will get thicker once it cools.
- Take off the burner and add the 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir.
- Add last 1 Tablespoon butter.
- Serve warm or cool in refrigerator until ready to serve.
