My dog Ruby is finicky like a cat. I have tried many dog biscuit brands with no luck.
Finally, this homemade dog biscuit recipe saved the day. The nice thing is they last forever so I make a big batch. She knows when I am baking them and sits by the oven.
I am one of those dog owners who buys premium food for her and even mixes in baked chicken or turkey. She is even know to get Ahi tuna or salmon once in awhile – I know I spoil her.
I bought the dog bone cookie cutter at a local cake decorating supply store. It will last forever.
Recently I made these dog biscuits for one of my employees who said her dog is finicky too. Aha! He loved them. Maybe I am on to something.
Caution: If your dog has an allergies, please make sure to check the ingredients before making them.
Store the dog treats in a zip lock bag or tight-fit container. You can also freeze them and take them out to thaw when you need them.
Over last summer I let Ruby have the frozen ones as it was like a popsicle in the hot weather. Of course, she loved it and it took forever for her to eat it.
