Kids love Krispy treats anytime of the year. Yet, it is fun to make them into shapes and use cookie cutters to celebrate the season.

Using the traditional Rice Krispy Treat recipe, but adding orange food coloring AND pumpkin pie spice, you will get the pumpkin color and flavor. This makes a yummy treat for your little goblin.
Get your kids involved with forming the pumpkins or using the cookie cutter. Let them decorate with candy corn, tootsie rolls, caramel, etc.

You will need:
- Baking sheet
- 1/2 stick butter (1/4 Cup)
- 1 16 ounce bag
- 6 Cups Rice Cereal
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3-5 drops orange food color
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon)
- Mini tootsie rolls if making mini-pumpkins
- Candy corn if decorating pumpkins
- Pumpkin cookie cutter
Melt butter in large pan. Add marshmallows. Stir until half is melted. Take off the stove and continue to stir until melted. Add vanilla, spice and food coloring.
Stir in cereal and coat all the rice cereal with marshmallow mixture.
Pour into a baking sheet. Flatten with damp hands (careful as it can be hot).
Let slightly cool before forming into pumpkins or using a cookie cutter.
Roll tootsie rolls to make stems for the pumpkins.
