
If you enjoy the traditional Italian wedding cake cookies, this is new twist of flavor.
While visiting Maui this summer we tried a variety of the Hawaiian dessert favorites found in local bakeries.
With the added macadamia nuts and pineapple, it gives a tropical flavor for a wonderful dessert.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/4 Cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 Cup finely chopped & toasted macadamia nuts
- 2 Tablespoons finely chopped candied pineapple
- Extra powdered sugar to roll cookie balls in after they bake
How to Make:
- In a small bowl, cream butter, powdered sugar, and extracts until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add flour and mix well.
- Stir in nuts and pineapple.
- Shape in balls.
- Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until browned.
- Remove and let cool.
- Roll cooled cookies in additional powdered sugar.


Wedding Cake Tea Cookies - Tropical
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup butter softened
- 1/4 Cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or coconut extract
- 1 Cup all -purpse flour
- 1/2 Cup chopped finely macadamia nuts toasted nuts
- 3 Tbsp chopped dried pineapple
- 1/4 Cup powdered sugar for top of cookie
Instructions
- In a small bowl, cream butter, powdered sugar, and extracts until light and fluffy.Gradually add flour and mix well.Stir in nuts and pineapple.Shape in balls. Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until browned.Remove and let cool.Roll cooled cookies in additional powdered sugar.Make 12 - 14 cookies
